Hmmm, without having tried the NNDC data myself, are you sure you set the CROSS_SECTIONS environmental variable, or included a <cross_sections> element in settings.xml?
What is the output of the following command from the shell?:
echo $CROSS_SECTIONS
Dear Friends,
echo $CROSS_SECTIONS points to /home/ajay/openmc/data/nndc/cross_sections.xml.
for the reference I’ve attached the xml file also.
I’m using Ubuntu 10.04, I don’t think that should be a problem.

The problem is resolved, the xml file was corrupted. I checked-out the new xml file now it is working.
