Is it possible to get MGXS Data without running OpenMC?

Hello,

I am trying to get MGXS Data from OpenMC to be used in OpenMOC, but it took too long to run because I had to run OpenMC first to get the statepoint and use that statepoint to generate mgxs.h5 file.

Is there any ways to generate mgxs data without running OpenMC? or any faster ways to shorten the time it took to run?

@bagasybnarh In order to collapse multigroup cross section data, you need to know the flux spectrum, and in order to know the flux spectrum, you have to perform a transport solution. So, there’s unfortuantely no way around having to run OpenMC into order to get MGXS data.
