Heating by (n,gamma) reaction

Hi,

I would like to know how the heating, which results from (n,gamma) reactions, is scored, when a coupled neutron-photon transport mode is on.
Specifically, if I add particle filters to the heating tally score, will this reaction be counted as a neutron or a photon?

Thanks,

If you are running a coupled n-γ calculation and tallying the heating score, the heat from the (n,gamma) reaction is attributed to neutrons. The photon is transported away from the collision site and can deposit its energy elsewhere. If you run a neutron-only calculation and tallying heating-local, in that case the energy of the secondary photon in (n,gamma) is assumed to be deposited locally.

Thank you very much!
