Using Interpolation of Cross Section

Hello everyone,

I have a small query about using interpolation capability of OpenMC. For example i have cross sections set up at 600, 800 and 1000 K. I have materials at 600 and 900 K. so when i try to use interpolation it says that no temperature data covering 600 K range. so is it possible that one of the cross sections (600K) is modeled with exact temperature and the other one (900K) uses interpolation.

Thanks in advance

Anyone???

@paulromano??

Hi Khurrum,

Sorry for the delayed response – right now it is not possible to have one nuclide with exact temperature and the other with interpolation. If I’m understanding your problem correctly, you could generate cross sections at some temperature lower than 600 K which would allow you to use the 600 K data with interpolation.

Best,
Paul

Thank you very much Paul
