Hello everyone,
I would like to adopt OpenMC to run some neutronic calculations on a Small Modular Reactor (SMR) model.
At this page Example Jupyter Notebooks · openmc-dev/openmc Wiki · GitHub I found some existing models of other reactors’ designs (PWR, TRIGA …).
Is there something similar also for the SMR?
Thank you!
Lorenzo

Hi @lorenzoloi ;
If you are interested, I have a basic Nuscale SMR model with some tallies and plotting outputs. I supervised a Master project to study such reactor with OpenMC, it could be something to start with.
best regards
Hello @bentridisalah,
Thank you for the reply, I would be interested in the model.
Can i contact you through email?
Thank you very much
Lorenzo
Hi @lorenzoloi. Take a look at this repository, which has a model of an SMR roughly based on the NuScale reactor:

Hi @lorenzoloi;
Sorry to answer so late about your request, because I was out for few days.
Here my email: bentridisalah@gmail.com and I will share with you two notebook files about a basic model of NuScale SMR (Tallies and depletion). Besides that, you can also check the repository mentionned by @paulromano (thank you Paul by the way for this sharing) it is more rich and complete
have a nice day
hi @bentridisalah can you please share with me this example
Hi @mariemm
Please find here two notebooks about the NuScale SMR model (small one).

hi @paulromano, can I extract from this example the input for one pin-cell or control rod or anything I want alone ??
hi can you give me the name of the Nuscale model used in this code please
Hello;
Well it is just a NuScale model (small one) taken from the report attached here.
