Hello everyone,
I am a newer with OpenMC and my interest is investigation of variance reduction techniques for fixed source Monte Carlo applications. It would be useful for this activity to have some existent actual open source OpenMC models for debugging and comparative performance analysis of implemented techniques.
As preferred choices, how it seems for me, could be something of benchmarks from ICSBEP and SINBAD, other known problems calculated by lots of codes (such as the Ueki’s slab experiments), or actual for the OpenMC community problematic models (industry facilities, toy problems, etc.) including ones “non-calculable” using existent methods and typical available computational resources for an OpenMC user.
I found the benchmarks and openmc-reactor-examples repositories in the OpenMC Ecosystem list which can be useful for creating new shielding problems, but there are not any existent fixed source problem input (please correct me, if I have missed something).
Could someone help with the search of the requested input(-s) or propose ones?
Thanks in advance.
