installation of OpenMC in Windows using MPICH

Dear All,

I am stuck in a situation where i need to compile OpenMC on windows with parallel support. I have Intel compiler available in windows installation. Is there any way that i can install HDF5 and MPICH and using them OpenMC in windows which will execute with multiple threads. I have made several attempts using cygwin but of no avail. serial execution (one thread) runs fine on windows but it is parallel execution i need.

Hi Khurrum,

Unfortunately I’m not aware of anyone with experience compiling OpenMC on Windows with threading. If you’re able to get something working, please do share with the list.

Best,
Paul

I know how to compile parallel version 0.7.0 on windows platform.
This problem also confused me a lot.
But I have solve the ploblem, without cygwin or mingw, just only visual studio (version>=2010).
I have already shared my compile files in the attachment.
Hope this can help.

but these files larget than permitted in this attachment. So I only send the openmc.exe file in the attachment.
you have to rename the openmcEXE into openmc.exe.
because google belive *.exe is a virus.

by the way, put me in your friend list :). I can send them to you by several slice files.
