Hi all. Is it possible to use openmc to find a temperature distribution within cells as a result of irradiation? I have a 14MeV source irradiating a blanket configuration and would like to be able to find the temperature increase in certain cells as a result.
I understand openmc has a ‘heating’ tally which produces nits of eV/source particle, but what I really want is to be able to plot a temperature distribution within the blanket.

OpenMC and neutronics codes in general are able to simulate heat deposited
To find temperature one would need to couple the heating with cooling using a code that thermal simulation abilities.
I’m sure there are lots of options for this coupling but I would be tempted to look at open source options like Cardinal
