Hi, I am modelling a full-core CANDU reactor using a quarter-core model with the x- and y-axis’ reflected, I am wondering for the volume and power input for the depletion section, do I need to use a quarter of their actual value as I suspect, though I haven’t found anything specifically discussing this. Furthermore, I am looking to model online refueling, would it be more appropriate to do larger step sizes with a more computationally extensive integrator, and then refuel in ‘batches’ ex. 5 day step size results in 8 bundles/day *5 days = 40 bundles, or use a simpler integrator and model day by day matching the real refueling schedule of a CANDU. I am running on only 24 cores, so I have to be pretty careful with complexity. I believe I might be also limited by memory, is there any suggestions on memory saving methods, or is that mostly considering the actual model complexity, along with the integrator choice. I am already using the simplified CASL decay chain. Thank you for your assistance in advance.
