Effective delayed neutron fraction

Hello :
I’m currently working on a project for calculating the effective delayed neutron fraction in LFR.But I have found that there is no way to compute the effective delayed neutron fraction directly when I read a 2018 post .So I just want to know is it possible to calculate the effective delayed neutron fraction in the current version of OpenMC?

Hi @Lorenzo_Mazzocco. Unfortunately there is no way to properly get the effective delayed neutron fraction from our basic tallies. If you’re willing to make a patch to the code, you can calculate an estimate of beta-effective using the “prompt method”.
