Hello everyone, I’m doing some research in transport correction methods, and I end up with some negative muilti-group cross sections.Can OPENMC code deal with negative cross sections? Can MC codes deal with negative cross sections? Is there a way to handle negative cross sections in MC code? I couldn’t find some articles investigating this issue so far.

@indesperate OpenMC cannot deal with negative cross sections as this would be unphysical. To my knowledge, other MC codes would not be able to handle negative cross sections either. So, if you want to feed your multigroup cross sections into OpenMC or another code, you will likely need to fix your negative cross sections.
