I’ve been reading many threads on calculating dosage and haven’t been able to get very far. I found this thread from a few years ago that seemed to skim the surface, but I am still lost.
I am running a very simple shielding program with a point source pointed at a region of material of a given thickness and I want to calculate the dosage on the other side to determine how thick a shield would have to be to get the dosage to an acceptable level. What is the best way to go about this? Thanks

Hi @madhofs. To calculate dose, you should create a tally with a flux score and an openmc.EnergyFunctionFilter that uses the openmc.data.dose_coefficients function. See this post for an example:
