# To get simulation data output by custom source

Dear All,

I have compiled an example from custom source using g++, file named source\_ring.so. But I have trouble getting the output from the simulation data, or plotting. My aim is to get value of dose simulation from secondary scatter, so i used this script \<settings.electron\_treatment = ‘ttb’\>. Could you tell me to get simulation data output and plotting the model.

@krnshnia Can you tell us a little bit more about the problem that you are simulating? What tallies have you created for your model? For plotting the geometry, I would take a look at the example in [this notebook](https://docs.openmc.org/en/latest/examples/post-processing.html). We also have a [plotting application](https://github.com/openmc-dev/plotter/) that enables much easier geometry visualization.
