Well, for the past month, I’ve been working on a project to implement a Genetic algorithm to have a better and uniform power profile in a reactor. So, I thought, why not share the project and make it open source since the whole optimization depends on openMC. I hope enthusiastic people here will contribute to improving the project. Here’s the GitHub repo: [GitHub - XxNILOYxX/nomad: A Genetic Algorithm for nuclear fuel optimization using ML surrogates (KNN, Random Forest, Ridge) and OpenMC. Optimizes fuel loading patterns for a target k-eff and minimal Power Peaking Factor (PPF).](https://github.com/XxNILOYxX/nomad)
