# \[openmc-users\] ERROR: No cross section libraries present in cross\_sections.xml file!

Hi Beneatha,

This error should only happen if you don’t have any tags in the cross\_sections.xml file. Can you confirm that you do see within your file? Is the device you are copying from also a Windows machine or is it a different operating system?
