Hi everyone,

I teach a course on Monte Carlo modelling for nuclear engineering at Instituto Balseiro, “Herramientas de Software Libre en Neutronica Computacional”. It is a two month course that covers an introduction to GNU/Linux, Python, OpenMC and NJOY, and finishes with the calculation of a benchmark system.

I started filming and uploading the classes, using Google Colaboratory to run the examples.

The first (introductory) video has subtitles in English. All the resources (Jupyter notebooks) are available for download.

And kudos to the development team: OpenMC is an excellent tool for teaching.

Best,
Nacho
