We have two job openings in my department:

- Neutronics modeling and simulation specialist, Computational Scientist #23216.

Neutronics Specialist

Graduate student or Post-Doc in Nuclear Engineering in the Engineering Physics Department of McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Responsibilities
You will join a small group of students who are designing the core of a Small Modular Reactor (SMR). The design and analysis are done using state-of-the-art computer codes, in particular the OpenMC Monte Carlo neutronics code.
There is also an opening for a Post-Doc or Master’s student to research the modelling of CANDU reactors with OpenMC.
Qualifications
You will have an (under)graduate degree in engineering/physics with a nuclear reactor focus. You will have some experience in modelling nuclear systems with codes such as MCNP, SERPENT or OpenMC.
As you will have to apply to the department, you must satisfy the requirements of the Engineering Physics Department at McMaster.

The job specification is very high level and doesn’t specifically state OpenMC experience as a requirement but is desirable.
