# installing MCNP

Hi all  
how to install MCNP code please ?

and i want to know what is the difference between openmc and mcnp in burnup calculation

Information about obtaining MCNP can be found [here](https://mcnp.lanl.gov/mcnp_how_to_get_to_mcnp.shtml). For information on how burnup is treated in MCNP, I would consult their [user’s manual](https://laws.lanl.gov/vhosts/mcnp.lanl.gov/pdf_files/la-ur-17-29981.pdf).
