# How to run OpenMC on Windows?

In addition to the other discussion on this ([Deployment with Docker?](https://openmc.discourse.group/t/deployment-with-docker/1277)), I’d mention that Docker is not the only way to run on Windows. You can also use the Windows subsystem for linux as [described here](https://docs.openmc.org/en/latest/usersguide/install.html#compiling-on-windows-10), but for your purposes, Docker may be an easier solution since you don’t need to figure out how to get it compiled in the first place.
