Dear OpenMC community!

I have a very general question

(its in the end related to my previous post ([problem-with-openmc-meshsurfacefilter-openmc](https://openmc.discourse.group/t/problem-with-openmc-meshsurfacefilter-openmc-hangs/3813)) but this didnt get much feedback).

How does one debug OpenMC when the regular means run out (i.e. increasing verbosity or running in debug mode)?

Today I ran into a similar issue then above with a simulation the uses `openmc.MeshFilter`.
The simulations just hangs on batch 28 forever (the point where this occurs changes with the seed used - but doesn’t help furher)

Is it not recommended to use Meshes at all?

Any leads I could follow?

Best
Richard
